Its back to school tomorrow ...

I love back to school time. I always have. As a kid, I think it is the "fresh start" we as adults look at the New Years to be. It is a time when the slate is completely clean and we have the chance to "do it right" this time around.

School supply shopping becomes almost a mania with the sales dipping into the pennies. Stock Up fever is definately in the air this time of the year. The thought that you will have to pay 1.59 for that 9 cent bottle of glue is enough to send you dumping 10 bottles in the cart. I still have bottles of glue from four years ago. Of course I don't know which ones they are because they are mixed in with the bottles I bought ever year after.

Back to school for me means back to work. In the summer I go down to writing just my Kid Friendly column and Family and Senior Portraits. It is too hard to work with four kids at home. This year should be exceptionally busy for me - Thank God I love what I do! I have a ton of Seniors already lined up for shoots and I am now shooting formal band portraits for four schools!

Now that school is in session (well starting tomorrow it will be) here are my "New School Year Resolutions"

1. I will organize my desk - and keep it organized!
2. I will update my blog, sites and face book weekly.
3. I will set aside time for my friends (or I just may find that I won't have any).
4. I will go room by room and rid my house of anything I don't use on a regular basis and I will NOT rebuy the items - including more school supplies!!!!
5. I will read more.
6. I will cook more.
7. I will write more
8. I will spend more time playing with the kids.
9. I will plan campouts and find new adventures for my Brownies
10. I will take my Senior Photo Shoots to a new level.

What are your "New School Year Resolutions?"

Tree House Story...

Tree House Story

I have written hundreds of articles, and I've probably wittien 150 or more Kid Friendly Column pieces. I come across all sorts of stories and get to meet the coolest people. I love to shoot my own artwork - I didn't always do it but now that I do I would have it no other way. I loved shooting this treehouse. Not everything I shoot gets it into the paper because of space. Sometimes my fav. pic doesn't represent the story enough to warrent that one spot. My fav. pic from my tree house shoot - the one below with the little girl.
